HITAC Rebroadcast system features the option of emergency voice override on all stations within both broadcast bands. The system permits locally produced messages to be heard by all active car radios within the tunnel area regardless of what station the radios are tuned.
The core of the current HITAC Rebroadcast System is Canam's Mark III and the recently released Mark III-A, the "state of the art" in AM/FM/ HAR Rebroadcast.
The continuing investment in research and development has maintained Canam Technology's leadership in the field.

Channelized Rebroadcast Systems
The Mark III-A's improved circuit design expands the systems critical dynamic range for complete flexibility and select ability of AM and FM stations. The Mark III-A can select any signal available at the tunnel site and effectively rebroadcast that station into the tunnel.
In addition to the Mark III-A's virtually unlimited over the air interface, the Mark III-A has an audio feed capability for stations not available at the tunnel sites, that want to provide audio feed interface into the system.
Digital Recorders and Override Controller
CTI model VAR-3 is a state of the art PC based digital recorder and emergency voice override controller.
The VAR-3 has pre?recorded broadcasting capabilities, for simultaneous transmission on all local AM and FM broadcast stations. Multiple independent channels are provided to allow different messages to be broadcast to multiple traffic zones. Each channel has the capability to record up to forty-eight messages on up to eight total channels. Multiple sites can be operated from a single VAR-3.
The VAR-3 can also include Public Announcement Systems (PA), Highway Advisory Radio (HAR), Radio Station Automation, and other applications where multiple flexible and programmable audio sources are required.
